Ok, this is a MS Office plug-in that I really like having. Office Tab allows you to create tabs in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint so that you can open several documents/files in one window – you won’t see document titles cluttering your taskbar.
VLC – opensource multimedia player. I use this more than Windows media player as it can play any type of media under the sun.
GIMP – alternative to Adobe Photoshop. My problem with Adobe is that it tends to open slowly (too bloated). Alternatively, if you want to just touch up photos, you can use Paint.net [...]
