When lightning struck, I lost…

Everything … ok, that was an exaggeration. Apparently, lightning struck close to my bedroom window during the heavy down pour last Thursday, which damaged the broadband modem and shut off our phone lines. When I went to the office the following day, there was no electricity, so no work-related emails. Just got back online this afternoon – and found my Farmville plants wilted.

Nonetheless, during the two days of not being online, I suddenly had time to mop the floor, scrub the kitchen clean, and get back to reading a book on writing fiction. Not bad. Perhaps lightning should strike more often.
