You can see who are in the list here. Manny Pacquiao made the list and his write-up was written by Lennox Lewis. What caught my eye, though, was the physician and sociologist from Harvard University, Nicholas Christakis, who conducted a study tracking the lives of 5,000 people in 20 years and found out that :
- Surrounding yourself with happy people will make you happier
- Happiness is contagious (yes, like the flu) up to a third degree of separation; that is if you’re happy, you’ll “infect” a friend, and the probability that someone who is close to your friend would be happier increases by 15% (and you don’t even have to know that person personally)
Although researchers differ in their definition of “happiness,” the thing is, it generally conveys a positive “state” to be in, and in a world of cynics and hate-perpetuators, it’s good to know that something more positive can be propagated as well.
