I’ve been busy for a couple of weeks now and expect to be busy for another couple of weeks. And if my lucky money stars keep shining, will be busy for the next couple of months! I don’t know whether to be happy or sad at the prospect
.
Anyway, since I have this window of time to blog, will just reflect on the things that have been happening around me:
- Latest sex video scandal involving Dr. Doolittle and the FHM girl -- shows you that character is not correlated with the level of education and intelligence, fame or fortune
- Book taxes travesty -- GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. What were they thinking?!!! As a booklover, I’m quite upset about this -- isn’t it enough that imported books cost an arm and a leg here, and the Department of Finance/Bureau of Customs still want to add more taxes? The worst of all, you’re going to include textbooks??? GRRRRRRRRRRR. Do you know what you’re doing -- you’re going to deprive people of their right to gain knowledge, to learn about people and places that they would probably never see or know in their lifetime -- not to mention it reflects a lack of respect for the “ancient” (yes, before there were TVs and the internet) practice of READING a physical book. Remember the three R’s -- READING, Writing, and Arithmetic? GRRRRRRRRRR. Even UNESCO is totally put off by this.
- Adam Lambert not winning AI -- Ok, this is not my rant but Moosh-moosh’s (my Mom). I understand why he didn’t win, but she swears that she wouldn’t watch AI ever again! Even saying, “@#$% (insert your favorite expletive here) those that voted!!!” That’s my Mom for you.
So since I’ve been feeling negative lately, I’ve been giving myself doses of Freddie Mercury love:
There’s nothing like watching a great band, showman, and a real Queen.
