It’s that time of the year! Yup, it’s movies season folks. There’s the Metro Manila Film Festival and, of course, movies that are vying for the Oscars are out. There are three movies that I plan to watch:
The Wrestler - Reviews for this movie are good, if not, great. They say it’s the comeback vehicle for Mickey Rourke. I’ve always wondered why he disappeared for sometime (apparently, he became a professional boxer). Rourke had long been compared to Marlon Brando, and yeah, to a certain extent, I agree - I always had a sense that he’s a great actor.
Milk – The story of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to be voted into public office in the U.S. Interesting, but really anything with Sean Penn…
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button – Adapted from the story of F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who ages backwards. Starring Brad Pitt. I think kids will like this.
